An industrial-style home

Ideas and inspiration to furnish your home according to some style tips. Let’s discover what they are together.

Open, evocative, free.

We’re talking about industrial style, a special type of design that embodies the concept of novelty and the ability to assign unprecedented functions to spaces and furnishings, to create combinations and solutions with a vintage vibe yet with the correct dose of modernity.

What is industrial style?
Industrial style is based on concepts such as re-using settings, the application of structural materials such as concrete and exposed bricks, vintage and textured finishes, huge open-plan settings filled with light. Elements that recall the origin of industrial style, which was born in New York in the Fifties following the conversion of buildings intended for work and which we got to know through US TV shows and films, and Andy Warhol’s famous Factory, a former factory in Manhattan that the artist turned into an art venue during the years of Pop Art.

Great places to enjoy

Sophisticated design, unprecedented combinations, the perfect blend of originality, functionality and customisation: all this is Diesel Open Workshop.

The spaces are open, the furnishings are free: the kitchen is put together and taken apart thanks to furniture and solutions designed for free-standing use.

In this offering distinguished by a contemporary design, lightness and strength of details, the island looks like it is suspended above the ground and the supports are in Soft Steel finish metal; while the large Stock Rack bookcase and the glass fronted unit with frame doors and Ribbed Glass connect the living room with the kitchen in a single stylistic unit.

The value of being together

The kitchen is articulated, every single workspace plays the starring role and gives added value to the whole, dominated by dark shades and warm hues.

The washing area in this Diesel Open Workshop composition is separated from the other operational elements, but it features the same top and paint in Bronze-finish. It is combined with a tubular wall unit and Bronze-finish frame, where the glass doors have a black mesh and Smoky Glass finish.

Industry-inspired warm hues

A sense of geometric freedom can be found in the Favilla kitchen offering with its industrial appeal and clean-cut silhouettes that create a place that is simply elegant and functional.

The undisputed star of this setting is the cooking block in cast iron effect matt lacquer, with a Perla Quarz worktop and a load-bearing foot, which, together with its matching hood, delineates a beguiling operating station,.
The cup handles in aged bronze effect metal and the cupboard with a rounded upper profile define the industrial chic vibe of this offering, which match the worktop in Old Natural laminate and the Tabula console table to perfection.

Stylish materials

Metal is the main material that characterises an industrial setting. The modular structures of the Steel tubes of the Stock Rack System uniquely outline the Diesel Open Workshop range, generating horizontal and vertical structures, and a striking alternation of blocks and voids.

Combined with metal, wood renders the setting warmer and more welcoming. Just like in the Sax living room designed by open-fronted structures from the gritty and functional “Metro” Wall System, with shelves in Land Oak decorative melamine that add lightness to the project.

Industrial bathroom: charm and personality

The main styling features of the Diesel Open Workshop project shift away from the kitchen and living room into bathroom furnishings. In this case the tubular steel Stock Rack structure is reinterpreted and becomes a practical revolving towel rail, whereas the large wall panels with copper effect Stopsol mirror create original games of light to contrast with the Slate Black matt lacquered washbasin base units. The Bronze-finish and “mesh” effect texture corner plaques, positioned on the marble tops, recall the tables found in workshops and also become a distinguishing feature of industrial style.
